A note on this house

Point Cottage sits at the westernmost tip of the estate — fully secluded from the rest of the buildings and set out, almost on its own, toward the open Chesapeake.

Two thousand four-hundred square feet across three bedrooms and a loft, with a porch holding two rocking chairs that catch the sunset every evening. The view changes hourly. The water comes up almost to the lawn.

Point Cottage is the building chosen most often by couples celebrating an anniversary, by small families who'd rather not share walls, and by writers who arrive intending to finish something.

Questions, considered

Frequently asked

Yes. It is set far enough from the other buildings that, with rare exception, you won't see another guest from the porch.

The loft accommodates one single bed and is most often used by an older child or a friend traveling along.

They are, and they have been for some time. The sunset is the reason most guests choose the Point.
