A seventieth birthday, done properly, is a weekend held in honour of the person at its center. It is the children and the in-laws, the grandchildren, the siblings who came from across the country, the lifelong friends who travelled to be there. It is not a dinner — it is a celebration that takes its time.
Moofy was built to hold celebrations like this. A private estate on the Chesapeake; forty-one bedrooms across five buildings; a long-table dining lawn; accessibility throughout the Main Lodge and Brick House; a chef-led kitchen capable of feeding the whole party.
