MOOFY
Forty,

Celebrations · A 40th Birthday

Forty,
with everyone

A long weekend on the Chesapeake with the people you actually want there — and none of the logistics of a big city restaurant takeover.

A Note

Forty is the birthday people tend to plan ahead. Old friends from college and graduate school, work people who became real friends, the partners and the kids. The instinct is to book a private room at a restaurant for one night, but the trouble with that is the night ends and everyone scatters before the conversations have a chance to deepen.

Moofy is built for a different shape of fortieth: a long Friday-to-Sunday weekend on a private waterfront, all forty-one bedrooms held for your party, and a sequence of meals that make space for the conversations that age forty calls for.

Why Moofy

What makes the weekend hold

Friday night welcome — the dinner that sets the tone

A casual chef-led dinner on the lawn the night people arrive. Lyon Rum tasting beforehand if you want it. Bonfire and s'mores after for whoever's still going.

Saturday — the day that becomes the memory

Morning yoga or a swim. Lunch out on the dock with crabs. A formal dinner on the long table on the lawn, the kind that goes on long after the meal is finished. Dancing in the barn after, however you want to do it.

Sunday — the brunch nobody wants to leave

Slow coffee in the kitchens. A long brunch on the lawn. Photos. Goodbyes that take all afternoon. The estate is yours through Sunday evening.

All the children, comfortably absorbed

The pool, the ice-cream parlor, the petting menagerie, the art barn, the bikes. Children of every age find their own things, and the adults stop watching the clock.

Capacity & Booking

Up to 41 overnight guests · day visitors negotiated separately · 2–3 night minimum

The Rhythm of the Weekend

A shape that most weekends share

Friday

Arrival across the afternoon, welcome cocktails on the dock at golden hour, a casual chef-led dinner on the lawn, bonfire for whoever's still going.

Saturday

Sunrise yoga, an unhurried morning, the lunch out on the pier, an afternoon split between water and lawn, the long dinner, dancing in the barn.

Sunday

Slow brunch, photos, a final swim, gradual departure across the afternoon.
