Five houses, forty-one bedrooms, all heated. The barn and the lodge by the great-room fire as gathering rooms.
Winter catering
Roast dinners on the long table, oyster roast on the pier, hot chocolate at the firepit. Holiday menus on request.
Cold-weather programming
Duck hunting with a guide, rum tasting in the barn, cooking classes with the chef, fireside discussions.

Pre-arrival stocking, transport coordination from BWI / DCA, parking sorted on the property.
The off-season
as a feature
Moofy in winter is a different property than Moofy in August. The bay turns slate. The light gets soft and low by three. The houses are warm and full, and the long dinners last past the time anyone would want to leave.
It's the right setting for the kind of weekend that doesn't make sense in summer — a small wedding by the great-room fire, a company retreat without the bonfire competing with a hot tub, a holiday party that goes the whole weekend instead of a single dinner that ends at midnight.

Before you reach out
Is the estate fully winterized?
Yes — all five buildings are heated and the great-room fires stay lit throughout. The barn (used as a gathering room and dance floor) is heated as well.
Do you host more than one group at a time?
No. Moofy is exclusive-use only. The whole property is held for your group alone — even more important in winter, when the firepit and the lodge fireplaces are the gathering rooms.
What's available in winter that isn't in summer?
Duck hunting with a local guide, oyster roasts on the pier, winter Olympics on the lawn, and the kind of slow-paced fireside weekends that don't fit the August rhythm. Holiday catering is included on request.
What about transport from the city?
We coordinate transport from BWI and DCA airports, and from Annapolis or DC by car (the drive is 90 minutes). Parking is handled on the property.
How does pricing work in the off-season?
Winter weekends are typically more available and more flexible on pricing than peak summer. We'll send a tailored quote within 48 hours — fully itemized, no surprises.
When do December and February weekends fill up?
Holiday-adjacent weekends (early December, mid-February) book first — usually 6+ months out. Mid-January and early March stay more open. The fastest way to know is to send a note.
